That means nearly every kitchen we see out here has builder-grade cabinets and stock stone from the original closing, and owners are ready for a real upgrade two to five years in. The good news: the footprints are already open, the plumbing is new, and we can usually deliver an upgrade kitchen without touching walls or rerouting anything.

Westlake Kitchen Cabinets
Most Westlake upgrades follow the same pattern: keep the footprint, swap out the builder cabinets for semi-custom shaker with soft-close dovetail drawers, add stacked uppers to the ceiling where the original build stopped short, and extend the island with better overhang for seating. Two-tone layouts (white uppers, navy or charcoal island) are the most-requested look in the newer Minto builds. We carry semi-custom and custom cabinet lines, with full-extension glides and dovetail boxes as the baseline.
Cabinet-only installs run about 7 to 10 days start to finish. A full Westlake kitchen remodel — demo, cabinets, counters, appliance reconnects — is typically 3 to 4 weeks on stock and semi-custom lines. Fully custom takes longer; we quote that once the design is locked.

Westlake Kitchen Countertops — Quartz, Quartzite, Granite
We fabricate countertops in-house. The Westlake kitchen countertop you pick at the slab yard is the block we cut — not a sister slab with different veining.
- Westlake quartz countertops — by far the top seller in the Minto builds. Non-porous, no sealing, stain-resistant, and available in large-format slabs that eliminate seams on long runs.
- Westlake quartzite countertops — real natural stone, harder than granite, with marble-like veining. A common upgrade pick when owners want a statement island that doesn’t match every neighbor on the block.
- Granite — still a solid pick for darker kitchens and for owners who want the lower price-per-foot without giving up durability.
Quartz starts in the mid range per square foot installed; quartzite and premium granites run higher. You pick the exact block at the yard.
